Registration is now open

Varsity Scholars are delighted to be opening registration for our free series of webinars to guide Oxbridge candidates at this important stage of the admissions process.

These webinars have been designed for candidates submitting applications through UCAS by the 15 October 2022 deadline. Webinars are open to applicants, teachers and advisors. Parents are particularly welcome to attend, either alone or with their child.

All webinars are led by our Director, Kate Kettle, who will also share details of how to organise additional, personalised support for those interested in taking up the invitation.

    In this short, high impact session, Varsity Scholars Director Kate Kettle, will share top tips for how to proof, amend and use your personal statement before the Oxbridge UCAS deadline of 15 October.

    In this session she will cover:

    - how to avoid common mistakes and pitfalls

    - how to respond to feedback

    - how to make changes at this late stage, including reducing word count/ characters

    - how to properly proof your statement

    - how your statement might be used in the admissions process

    In this short, high impact session, Varsity Scholars Director Kate Kettle, will share top tips for how to prepare to sit Admissions or Aptitude Tests. The majority of applicants will sit these in November.

    In this session she will cover:

    - the significance of these tests in the admissions process

    - where to access free materials and papers

    - strategies for success

    In this short, high impact session, Varsity Scholars Director Kate Kettle, will share top tips for how to prepare for and succeed at Oxbridge interviews.

    Calls to interview are usually sent out at the end of November for interviews scheduled in early/ mid December.

    In this session she will cover:

    - why interviews are used

    - how to use your personal statement and submitted work to prepare

    - general questions you should reflect on

    - the importance of mock interviews

    - strategies for success

    - coping with nerves and anxiety
